As a general rule, in cases where electric scooter riders are hit by a moving vehicle, they will be entitled to damages for the accident, like pedestrians. The rule in this matter is one of “absolute liability”. This means that it will not be necessary to prove the liability of the driver of the offending vehicle for the injury suffered by the scooter rider.<\/p>\n

It is, however, important to thoroughly document the injury and the driver\u2019s details, as well as to ensure immediate medical treatment.
